XXI ICAR WORKSHOP 2025
December 1–3, 2025
Vietri sul Mare, Lloyd’s Baia Hotel
The Institude for High-Performance Computing and Networking of the National Research Council (CNR-ICAR) has the mission of developing research, achieving technology transfer, and promoting advanced training in the areas of complex intelligent systems and high-performance computing, with a particular focus on advanced research topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing.
CNR-ICAR is organized across three locations (Rende, Naples, Palermo) and divides its scientific activities into three thematic areas:
1. Artificial Intelligence & Data Science
2. Cyber Physical Systems and robotics
3. High Performance and quantum computing
Which include 14 Research Groups
The institute develops significant applications in various sectors, such as eHealth, Bioinformatics, Precision Medicine, Energy, Cybersecurity, IoT, Smart Cities, and Cultural Heritage.
The institute partecipates in and coordinates several projects funded by the European Union and is involved in numerous initiatives under the National Research Council (PNNR). Furthermore, it is actively involved in project activities in collaboration with industries and public administrations.
CNR-ICAR currently employs about 105 permanent staff members and 24 temporary staff members.

LLOYD'S BAIA HOTEL - Vietri sul Mare (Salerno), V. Benedetto Croce, snc, 84019 Vietri sul Mare SA
Hotel La Lucertola Salerno
Via Cristoforo Colombo, 29, 84019 Vietri sul Mare SA
Sponsored by NQSTI
The Congress will be held at the conference center of the Lloyd Baia Hotel, located in Vietri.
How to reach the hotel by car
The Lloyd’s Baia Hotel is located on the Amalfi Coast, along the road connecting Vietri and Salerno. Guests traveling by car can use our parking facilities, while those arriving by train or plane can request the shuttle service, available by reservation only.
By car: exit at the Vietri sul Mare junction on the A3 motorway and continue for about 200 meters toward Salerno, along Via De Marinis. Alternatively, you can take the Salerno exit from the A3 or A30 motorways and continue for 2 km toward Vietri sul Mare. From the Port of Salerno, it takes only 10 minutes by car in the direction of Vietri sul Mare.
How to reach the hotel by train
The train is one of the most convenient options for those arriving from Naples. There are two nearby railway stations: Vietri sul Mare, served by a regional line, and Salerno, which is served by high-speed trains.
In both cases, the hotel is just a short distance away: the Lloyd’s Baia can be reached by taxi or by the shuttle service available upon reservation. In addition, there is a bus stop (CSTP No. 9 or 4/Leonetti) directly in front of the hotel.
